 A little About the Winemaker: 

As a kid Anthony always wanted to be a Cattle Rustler or a River Pirate. Unfortunately, neither of those professions were hiring when he graduated from Cal Poly. So Anthony “cut his teeth” in the wine industry here at Denner working as cellar rat for two vintages. Later, he moved up the road to become Cellar Master at Villa Creek, where he continued to work with Denner fruit. Coming full circle, Anthony returned to Denner as Winemaker in 2009. His winemaking philosophy is simple: “If you provide the grapes and wine with an environment where they can thrive and express themselves, they will do just that."

The Fableist is a collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchlin and Andrew Jones.

Curt, owner and vintner of the heralded winery Sans Liege, is known for his critically acclaimed Rhone varietal wines. Andrew, winemaker of Field Recordings, spends his days planning and planting vineyards and has stood foot in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast. Together, they produce The Fableist, a collaboration that gives special attention to the craft and story behind each wine.

Brian Cuddy (owner & importer of The Organic Cellar) grew up in Canada working in the food and agriculture industry. He was thoughtful of the foods he consumed and how closely related farming practices were to our overall health. But not until a fateful trip to Italy, for work, did he fully grasp and appreciate organic farming practices in regards to grape growing were. After spending time with Italian winemakers and saw the health benefits to Organic Wine, his path was forever changed. And The Organic Cellar was born in 2009. Brian immediately began curating a portfolio of the best organic, vegan, and biodynamic wines he could find. Using the network of farmers, growers, and winemakers he had grown a relationship with throughout his time in Italy. He was able to combine his passion for sustainable and organic farming with his love of wine and now uses this platform to educate wine drinkers on the benefits of choosing to drink organic. Brian says "We believe good wine comes from good grapes, and that good wine can be good for you too."
