Josh Mason

Josh found his calling at an early age; his first toys were a set of pots and pans. He segued from toys to the real thing and began making Chinese food and homemade fortune cookies at age 8. After running a home catering business, Josh went on to become the owner and chef of Pizzeria Mundo in Denver, where he perfected the fine art of pizza.

Josh eventually made the move to California and was introduced by his brother to Chris Olsen, owner of the Wine Gallery. Chris was looking for a chef and hired Josh on the spot after he wowed Chris and his wife with his culinary skills. Proud to be a part of the Wine Gallery team, Josh savors working in an environment where there are no limitations on how he can express his creativity.

When he’s not creating works of art in the wood fired oven, Josh is dining out trying new restaurants and revisiting old favorites (he swears by Giussepe’s in Pismo Beach).
